Please read this entire document, as the game will be more fun with the
compete story line...

Misc. Author Info : Just a fan of Douglas Adams' Hitchhiker's Guide
		    books.

Other Levels : No other episodes yet.

Descriptions : I have included descriptions for each level of episode.
As they follow the book plot, and don't begin where the
		other left off.

Description 1: Just after getting back home, you find yourself with Ford,
an old freind of yours, coming into a pub with his friend
Arthur. Through both of them you find out that aliens
named Vogons have come to blow up the Earth, and they
offer to take you with them. While you ponder which part
of a Vogon you'd like best to step on, Arthur and Ford run
out, and you behind them. Without provocation Ford Presses
a green button on his Sub-Etha Signaling device and you
teleport onto the Vogon ship, which has just now destroyed
the Earth. While you all feel horrible, Vogon troops come
and torture you in thier poetry chairs, you notice a
polarity switch. If you flipped it, it might overload.
Then they throw each of you into seperate airlocks. You
hear a rush of air as Ford and Arthur get blow out of the
ship, just as you vow to avenge Earth and Ford, you notice
a pipe bomb you had saved in case you wanted to shove it
down somebody's throat. You have one chance, to escape the
infinity of space, get to the bridge and blow up the ship.

Description 2: You sat in your pod when you saw the Vogon ship explode,
you notice a few escape pods like your own escaping, and
in the window of one you see the captian. Damn. He, it
escaped. But you must find Ford first.
You decided that a life signal from a Betelgeusian on a nearby
planet called Magrathea would be a good place to start looking
for Arthur and Ford. But as you approch the planet, a figure
appeared in front of you. After a few seconds of shooting the
hell out of it, you realise it is a hologram. It warns you not
to near the planet, then shoots 2 rockets at your ship. Your
too slow to escape them, you must get off the ship, and fast.

Description 3: You find yourself on the new Improbability Drive ship, the
Heart Of Gold. You were picked up by Arthur, your friend Ford,
Ford's semi-cousin Zaphod who shares 3 of the same mothers with
him, and Trillian, a rather nice astrophysicist. Your current
mission is to get off the damn ship, as it's being attacked by
Vogons, and the computer is jammed. Even though you would
rather fight it out, you decide to leave the ship. All the
others are hiding out to prepare for some seance, but your
outta there... Which teleport pad though?

Description 4: You meet up with Ford after blowing up Frogstar C, and decide
to cover their backs for a while, as the Vogons seem very keen
to kill the survivors of Earth. You must keep up with Ford and
company, and destroy all other aliens. Your first stop will be
MILLYWAYS, the Restaurant at the End of the Universe. Who
knows where you must go from there. Hint, you end up back
in the place of your birth, but not the time of your birth.

Description 5: Well, christ. Here you are stuck on Pre-historic Earth for 4
years and are getting rather bored. No alien scum to
terminate. You follow Ford around for a year or two, then push
off. But years lateryou see Ford heading towards Arthurs'
cave. You follow far off and arrive just in time to see
Arthur and Ford jump on a couch and vanish, with the couch.
After a while it comes back, and you leap on. You arrive at a
cricket match, that has been partially blown up. Alien scum
everywhere, both flesh and metal. Kill the aliens and the
white robots. Enter the ancient Krikkit Wars...

(Hey ho, no keycards needed on this one, very linear)

This level not yet done!
Description 6: You decide to settle down a bit, and go to a far from harmless
bar on a far from harmless world. In Han Dold city, your
shot at by police almost all the time. You enter a nice
little bloody bar, and must check your weapon, all 3 of them.
After drinking a hell of a lot you look up in you copy of the
Hitchhiker's guide, and see an entry about Gods Final message
to his creation. "This is something I gotta see!" you declare,
"I have a bone to pick with him." You decide to go to the
nearby spaceport and with the very little money you have, book
a "flight" on the new tele-relay flights. This is where you
teleport from one planet to another in a relay to get to your
destination. Most people don't like this method because it
means crossing into incrediby hostile terrain and meeting
dangerous creatures, it's right up your alley, and it's so
cheap to buy. You get up to leave and notice you have too
little money to pay the tab. Without hesitation your are
thrown across the bar into a pile of bottles and are hurt
badly. The 3 other aliens there decide to take you apart,
and attack. Good thing you brought lots of bandages.

Additional Credits to : Douglas Adams for his book, and my brother for
critique. Also, since I used some of his techniques,
			 Tim Conneen, for his SE0TRICK's.
And to who ever first came up with the wicked
Time Tunnel teleport idea that I used twice.
I first saw it used in a map called Pompeii,
but the author didn't include a text file.

* Construction *

Base : New levels from scratch
Level Editor(s) Used : Build
Art Editor(s) Used : Editart, Adobe Photoshop.
Construction Time : Bob knows?!
Known Bugs : If you run fast enough down the waterway in Magra_p1,
you might run through the wall.

The hallways with the windows to shoot RPG's out of,
sometimes the RPG's will hit the ground, try pressing
			 PGUP.

Major Slowdown in the Main Restaurant, I've tried
everything to make it stop, so I was forced to
reduce enemies. It's still pretty bad though.

For all slowdown problems, try reducing resolution and screen size.

Fixes to HITCHHIK.MAP from the first time. (I had released the first level
					    when I was finished it)

1) Sometimes you couldn't walk into the cells in the prison section, this was
due to the fact that to keep the monsters from getting through the force
field, I made a slide door, that sometimes wouldn't open all the way. So
I took it out, if the guys get out, they get out.

2) The hallway to the prison was so insanely deadly (you step on a bad tile, a
C-9 explodes in your face, you step on one of the few good tiles and 3 pig
cops spawn at the other end) so I made no pig cops spawn, and made a
vent to completely circumvent the hallway.

3) Removed some enemies, added more shotguns, ammo and health.

4) Fixed two really bad invalid line problems. Didn't affect the game,
but made editing a nightmare. Had to delete the whole sector and try
   again.

*Important Information*

Installation : Run HHG.BAT to play, it will automatically place
			 everything and fix it afterwards.

Few words: Please don't use these levels as a base for other levels, nor
give these maps away unles this text file accompanies it,
while it being intact. Alright? As for my tile set, use
them but give a little credit.
